Hi, I am new here and my english is unfortenally not so good, so please forgive me about that :o
I like to read you because I allready found good advices.
Now I decided that I will try to make gel nails to myself but I don´t know what is the best choice between IBD and LeChat.
From IBD I would like to buy soak off gels (clear and white), bonder, ultraseal and some other stuff that I need (brush, files, wipes, tips, tip cutter, glue, nail forms, cleanser, cuticle pusher, cuticle oil, glitter...). UV lamp I would buy separately. From LeChat I find Powder Gel® Pro Kit where the UV lamp is allready included.
I can´t decide which is better an for how long I will have LeChat kit.
The problem is that gel on my nails always lifts up and last time I went to one professional to make an acrylics bu the situation is the same. It lifting :irked:.
Please if somebody know what is the problem of lifting up gels, give me an advice.
And what shopping is better from this two choices?
I will be greatfull for any kind of answer.
Bye!

I personally have used both systems and prefer the LeChat. I really like the ease of use, how it applies like nail polish. It's very thin consistancy, goes on like a dream, and is easy to build appropriate thickness. Because of the application from a brush much like polish I personally found it easier to make the cuticle area nice and thin. I also like Lechat's top coat that comes with the system. It also applies thinly, and I do two thin applications of it. Voila! :)

With any system you can have lifting if you leave dead cuticle behind on the nail plate, or get the gel on the skin. Best to avoid the cuticle area by a small margin. :)

Hi,
Are you a professional nail technican or beauty therapist or are you asking as a client?
You have not filled out your details on your profile page.

Perfected, thank you for answering!
Sorry I didn´t fill all details in my profile, but I´m asking as a client. I´m not professional nail technican, but I would like to do nails to myself. I went to professionalists but the result was always lifting up the gel after 10 days. So I know that I must practice a lot, but I realy want to do that. My professional is graphic design and making nice nails is an experience that I would like to try.
That is also the reason for buying something good where I need your help :)

Hi Lunaluna - I know you said you are new on here, but for future referance, as a client there is a forum on here where you can post questions if you need professional advice.

If you click on "forums" at the top of the page, scroll down to the heading/ title "cafe geek" then click on "cosumer queries" this is the forum you can use as its for non professionals that need professional advice.

Hope that helps - maybe the mods can move this?

Hi!
My advise is.... Find a good nail tech!!
This is the quickest and cheapest option for you!

Without good training and lots of practice, you cannot solve your lifting issue by yourself, no matter how good product you use.

If you have passion for nails (not only as a client) why not search the training in your area?

There are lots of gel company offering trainings.
