Hi new to this just need some advice when preping a nail for an infill do you sometimes see the growth line no matter how much you file before putting the bead on the cuticle zone if not any advice would be appreciated

You should always file and smooth the growth line flush with the natural nail or you will see it straight through the newly applied product. xx

hi i have but still it sometimes shows through any tips

File just under the growth line with a 180 abrasive then when it becomes thin and close to the natural nail switch to a 240 grit then go on and use your white block or koala (i like to use a koala on natural nail) and blend flush, you can then remove the shine of the new nail growth at this point.
Remove dust, swipe with Scrubfresh, allow to dry and if you still see a line at this point then carry on and blend again with the white block or koala buffer.

I know its not easy, i stuggle sometimes and have to go over which adds on more time on my timings but old product lines is not a cool look

Koala buffer is really good for blending in old product and the CND 120/240 padded outblack are also good. Start with 120 side and switch to 240 then use your buffer. hth :)

are you seeing a line where there has been lifting, or is it a difference in the colour between the old application and the new product ?

Infills/rebalances is best done every 2 weeks esp if you have alot of lifting at this stage....less lifted product to file away/ less trauma to the nail and to keep the nail enhacement balanced to reduce breakages/repairs.

I offer a 2nd week infill/rebalance and a 4th week french backfill/infill/rebalance although some clients want a french back fill every 2 weeks. This wasn't my choice of service thou, it is what the previous nail tech offered which i have taken over to cover her place while on maternity leave and its what her clients are used to.
