I know this may seem like a really stupid question. I just waxed a lady who always gets waxed ( I work in a hotel, so have never seen her before), anyway half of her lower leg was filled with ingrowing hairs, which she says she has never had, what could have caused so many ingrown hairs?

Could it to be with the summer?

Sorry for the stupid question, but just thought it was really strange that she had so many.

It could be that she has a build up of dead skin and when the hair grows back after waxing at can be finer than it is from shaving ect and instead of the hair breaking through the dead skin it just coils underneath.

I would advise her to use a good exfolliator twice a week and especially 24 hrs prior to waxing.

It's probably that she moisturised her legs and the skin has become dry so the hairs can't break through the skin. Tell her regularly dry brush or exfoliate her skin and she'll get great results. xxx

If she is regurlarly waxed and only just started getting ingrown hairs see if she has changed her moisturiser.
Whilst dry skin is a cause of ingrown hairs, too much oil in the hair follicle is also a cause. She may have changed to an oil-based moisturiser. Could she have shaved inbetween her waxing sessions?
Sometimes shaving can take more skin off than waxing and this wont help ingrown hairs either!
