Inspired by a post by Classixuk, I thought it might be fun to post photo's that have inspired us.

I do not think I would have become a hairdresser if it was not for Vidal Sassoon and these two beautiful haircuts.




What has image has inspired you, past or present?

Aside from the 5 point cut I still think this is one of the sexiest short hairstyles I have ever seen on a female head. The Greek Goddess - yup, we're both fans of Sassoon

I was inspired by The Rachel. Its the first cut I ever did and all I did for about 2 year!
Im in to California blondes in a big way. Farah Fawcett and Bridget Bardot.

You think Vidal Sassoon's work is from iStock? These are classic iconic images that changed our industry lol. iStock wasn't even around when these images were produced. Don't worry

The first is a style that I loved as I was training/qualified, the second is an all time favourite inspiring style, always been interested in twiggy and her styles! And the last is from the great gatsby which I went to see last night, loved all of the hair in the film!

Anything by Angelo Seminara. To me, he combines modern art and technically skilled hairdressing beautifully.
I just wish I could find clients who are a bit more adventurous! ;-)

I love old black and white films, as you can probably see from my avator, the hair nevers dates...



And is still working out for present day actresses...inspired by Rita and Audrey. I love these styles at the moment.

I agree totally Classixuk, Sassoon has it all for me, classic & modern, simple & complex, all in one beautiful cut, that a client can recreate at home. A true original and a star.

oohh so many to choose from... sassoon geometric bobs...classic Louise Brooks bob...Kate Moss's short cut made me go for the chop way back into the day...just about every style Linda Evangelista ever had...my favourite tousled rock chick blonde Debbie Harry and Emile Sande, just beautiful
