hi all was just wondering would you start your insurance even tho you have no clientell or would you get a few clients first?

Don't work on a client without insurance. It wouldn't be worth it. That would be the one where there would be a problem!

If you perform a treatment on a client when you have no insurance, you are liable for any claim they make against you. It is not worth working without cover.

If you would like any information on Guild Membership and insurance, PM me, click here or call us on 0845 2177 383.

Hi there, im new to this website and beauty in general, but I am currently doing beauty courses and about to do a nail course with creative. I am looking to start up my insurance with Guild, but was wondering if the full beauty insurance would cover me for all the treatments that I will be doing on a mobile basis, and if it will cover me to do childrens pamper parties?

Love the website, all the advice is great!! xxx

Guild insurance will cover all the treatments you are qualified in, at home, in a salon or working mobile. We do also cover children's pamper parties, although there are some terms and conditions attached to this.

Feel free to contact us for more details.

With waxing insurance they all specify that you have to have done a 24 hour patch test otherwise the insurance is void.

Not very practical when you work freelance.

Really?
I don't think BABTAC specify this, but I'll check!

That's not actually quite true.

We suggest you test the wax, on inside of arm for example, to test for a reaction prior to doing the treatment - then if no reaction we are happy for you to proceed.

For further information call our advice line - 0845 065 9000

Cheers
