Junior stylist wage?

Hi,

Im starting my hairdressing apprenticeship very soon and ive had an interview with a salon owner who is happy to take me on whilst im training. He said he will be paying me 80.00 per week, i will be training 1 day and working 4 days.

Is the minimum apprenticeship wage 95.00 or can they pay you whatever they want?

Hi. It is £95 a week but it only went up last August. It used to be £80, so maybe they just haven't had the updated information. I would just mention it to them, you could always say the college told you it would this much if you feel embarrassed
