Hi

I've read literally EVERY thread on starting a salon, I've almost completed all my training and I've been working at home for the past year now I really want to bite the bullet and open up on my own but I don't know what's stopping me!! Anyone else in a similar position?!

Have you got £20-30k in the bank?
If not that's what's stopping you :)

Lol not quite that much but I do have some savings

I'm in the same boat although I have very little experience - just the qualifications! I've been doing my research & figured I'd need to employ at least one experienced therapist to provide a professional service (until I'm more practised) and have already got a nail tech wanted to rent a desk. I worked out the I roughly need 20-30k to do it properly whilst having a min of 6 months rent/wages in the bank. You have to have a worst case scenario - I.e. if it doesn't work how much will I lose? If you're prepared for this, go for it!

I know I'm prepared to work hard & all you can do is research well and bite the bullet!!!

Good luck (I know that I need it lol)
