hi all,i have completed training course in gel and acrylics but i still dont feel that i can do acrylics to a standard to charge the public for,can anyone recommend someone one to one, or a course in the essex area to help me i know all the basics but i feel that i need someone to show me where i am going wrong it is the pink and whites that are the problem,i would prefer one to one training i dont need a qualifacation i am already qualified i just need help from someone who has mastered this technique that feels they can help me thanks,really desperate take over a salon soon and dont want to have to rely on other staff to do every set of acrylics

It may be that you just need practise. I felt like this for months after my course, but I just kept practising and reading every book I had (Nailclass by Gigi Rouse is the best for perfecting tecnique), and one day it just 'clicked' and everything fell into place. i still struggle with timings though, so am booking a one to one with CND, I found them great when I did my conversion.
Can you start out doing doing 'model rates' to get the practise you need?

hi i was in the same boat i trained with a company in l&p and left with a certificate thinking i could never charge for a set .one day i came across creative nail design and a friend had trained with them from the start she was so confident .i later found out they did a conversion course and one to one so i did my conversion course and never needed one to one as the product itself made it easier .i also got the nailclass book and it was my bible it really helped me out hth:hug:xxx
