Hello there...I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice regarding Lash Extentions....

I am a nail technician and know nothing really about lash extentions, and I dont really know why tbh but I feel really interested in finding more out about doing lashes....perhaps its because my friend had some and I thought they looked great and Im thinking it would be a great service that I could offer in the future once ive got my nail business up and running.

So what are the different companies and brands that I should be looking into for training? What sort of things do I need to consider?

Obviously I would like to get the best training, the best quality lashes and the most durable etc and ive noticed a few people talking about Extreme? where they state you must charge £120 minimum to clients for a set of lashes....well I was quite shocked when I read that as I really couldnt think of one person I know that would pay that much! (I think my friend paid about £15 for hers!)

Can I ask how much you charge your clients for a set of lashes? What sort of cost is it to train and buy what you need to set up etc? (pm me if you like).

Like I said I really know nothing about it all but I really would like to find out as much as I can if anyone can give me some info id really appreciate it thanx x

anyone? lol x

I saw this post hours ago but wanted to give everyone a chance to give you their views,
i have used and tested products from many different lash companies, it is part of my job to know what is out there,
on a whole 99% of the lashes are of the same quality,
some do supply absolute rubbish lashes but im sure you would be able to guess which these are,
the adhesive, the training and after training support are the three main items that need to be top notch,
obviously i can only give you details of the Flirties lash courses,
we offer 1 to 1 training as well as small group classes,
lashes are of high quality,
adhesive has a 12 month life span, is medical grade and CE approved,
all other lash companies that i know of their adhesive has a 3 month life span,
the adhesive and aftercare by clients is what makes the difference as to how long they last and how well,
all my clients that follow the after care come back for their infill's with minimum work to do to the set,
the trainers are there for you for any help after your training even if it is years later,
customer support from head office is great,
we do not dictate how much you should charge but we do offer marketing advise and help where you need it,

your friend that you say has payed £15 sounds to have the weekend lashes in that are in clumps of 5 or 6 lashes,
these are one individual extension that you fit to one natural lash and you do this all the way along the line,

i charge £100 per set for these and have regular offers where they are £75

i cant give you the prices of the courses on the forum but if you want to PM me your email addy i will forward over the leaflet that shows the kit content and prices,
hth

Hi.

There are a number of companies that do 'semi permanent eye lash extensions'. They normally take 1.5 to 2 hours per client - for a full set and, from my experience, the cost to the client can be anything in the region of £60 to £150+ - dependant on where the client goes and location - i.e., mobile or salon! These lashes generally last well over a month and the client can maintain them by having infills - they naturally shed with your own lashes. Each lash is 'bonded' onto the client's lashes - singularly.

The ones that your friend had for £15.00 were probably the ones that only last up to a week - you can buy them from Boots and do yourself - you get about 6 lashes on a 'bulb' like a root - these can be done in about 30 mins.

I hope that this helps.

I am interested in doing eyelash extension course. I have found that Xtreme lashes are now over 1000 pounds. I am confused which other ones are good. Noveau? Flirties? Hollywood?
Do please help and advice me. Many thanks
