Hi I currently offer mani/pedis, Massages, Facials and Eyelash Extensions but I would like to specialize in Eyelashes alone. I know it sounds mad to drop my other treatments but I dont enjoy them and to be honest dont have regular clients from them. Eyelash extensions are my passion.Would it be bad business sense to just offer this? (It is by far my most popular treatment). Thanks in advance xx

You can do whatever you like, if you can get enough clients its up to you what you offer.
You might find it works better if you specialise in eyes. So example brow/lash tinting/shaping. Waxing/threading, to go alongside you lashes?
It depends on your skill and area too x

I only do lashes, working from home. I have approx 25 clients a week and am fully booked 2/3 weeks ahead. I love it never get bored. Go for it !

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply, it really has helped xx

Thats brilliant debbie, very inspiring thanks x

If the only thing you sell is apples the only customers you'll get are those who want apples.
The thing I'm known for is facials, but I sure as hell wouldn't make a living just doing that!

The only thing that would worry me would be what happens if eyelash extensions go out of fashion or something new replaces them. I suppose you could just reintroduce other treatments/do more training if that was the case though.

This is a very good way to put it!

If you're incredibly busy with lashes then just go for it! If not then you are dramatically limiting your market and clientelle and this is going to take you an awfully long time to build up a client base who all only want lashes.

Also to think from a clients point of you, if I like to get my nails, tan and lashes done regularly for example, I won't go to two different therapists ill just go to the person that does it all. I know when I qualified in beauty some clients moved from another salon to have their nails and beauty done by me

Hope this helps

x

I just specialise in lashes and hair and am working full time x

Thanks for all of your replies, they all make sense. Think I may invest in some other form of training that I feel passionate about as like I say the treatments I offer at the moment I seem to have lost all passion for which is ashame but the whole point of me starting my business was to do something i enjoy. xx
