Today at midnight the Breast Cancer raffle closes to new ticket purchases.
Currently, we are behind the US in money raised and its looking a bit grim as they will have at least an additional 8 hours over us to raise more due to the Time Zone changes.

I am looking at having Doug Schoon announce the winners on Saturday which at least allows some of the people who sent cheques through in the past couple of days to get counted before the draw.

Lets go Geeks, this is the final stretch and your final chance to win one of 15 manuscript chapters from Dougs new book. We are also doing a drawing tonight for a Date with Doug in the UK.

were diagnosed with breast cancer:

• Every three minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with
  breast cancer.
• In 2004 alone, there will be about 216,000 new cases and 40,000 women are expected to die from this disease.
• Breast cancer is the leading cancer among white and African American
  women
• 85% of women who develop breast cancer have NO known family history of
  the disease.
• Breast cancer occurs in one out of every eight women!

But it doesn't have to be this way. We can put a stop to this insanity.
Every dollar you donate is an investment in life! The life of someone's
mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend...

Your chances of winning something are "Pretty Good" (probably about
the same as your chances of knowing a close friend who will die of breast
cancer)! The current prizes are an original chapter from my book, a signed
autographed copy (hot off the presses when it's published in Feb.) and a Date with the Geek and I in the UK in March.

But the real "prize" is the joy and satisfaction of helping fight breast

We are neck and neck right now. Sadly though, this is our busiest time of the evening (and therefore the time we will be most likely to pull the most in).
I close my purchases 6-8 hours before her and once I am closed, she will go into her busiest time!
