Hello there ladies and gents

I have a problem!! I have a client who has been coming to me for two years who has all of a sudden developed a lifting problem in the middle ,yes the middle of her nail??? any ideas? Ive never seen anything like this before. I would appreciate some feed back as Im at a loss. I thought maybe it was from her touching her nails before I applied the gel for her fill ,but ive told her not to touch them anymore explaining that the oil from her skin could be causing the gel not to stick where she touched the nail. so she stopped touching......but we still have a problem?

anyhow let me know what you think!!

Thanks in advance
Cathy

It sounds like you have some pocket lifting. This can be an indication that perhaps it might be time to change your uv bulbs. What product are you using?

Condition: Pocket Lifting
Cause
Solution
Air pocket within glue when applying tip
Sculpt rather than Tip and Overlay, which will bypass adhesives and promote bonding with the nail plate.
Break down of adhesive
Minimise the amount of glue used.
Working with bead too wet
There is a 6-18% shrinkage rate with L&P; working wet will cause excessive shrinkage.
Thinned nail plate. Possibly from mechanical drilling or over filing / buffing
Never use anything lower than a 180grit file on the natural nail, however a 240grit is recommended.

Just looked at pocket lifting for my latest assignment.
