Long hair needs a style without taking away the length!?

Hi guys popping over from the beauty side as I cannot for the life of me ever describe to the hairdresser how I want my hair!, I have longish hair with layers and a side fringe but its becoming a bit boring. I need a bit of a change without taking away my length lol. Any ideas on what I could ask my hairdresser for would be great as im getting it done this week. thanku !x
