Hi, can anyone tell me the best way to heat up minx. Do I need a Uv lamp? I am acrylic trained so don't have one. But I am thinking about getting one because I've been reading a lot about the new gel polish from CND, which I just love the sound of  and can't wait to try it. Also do I need to CDN trained to get my hands on it.

Hi, You heat Minx with an Infrared Lamp. You can buy a Minx lamp or I have bought the same one as others on this forum and it's fine - perfect if you are mobile.

Hi Denise
Thanks for that, but what lamp did you buy?

Sounds to me like you don't have a very good relationship with the CND suppliers right there in Leeds where you live!!! What a shame when they are so willing to help.

Sweet Squared (08452106060) supply Minx and CND and you would know the answer to your questions if you were using them to supply you ... WHICH begs the question, where are you buying your CND products from and From where are you buying MINX????

All your questions can be answered by contacting S2 at the earliest opportunity.

PS the infrared lamp is sold by Sweet Squared in Leeds.

I got my Minx lamp from the Fingertips Centre. The same one you'd get from Sweet Squared. It might be more expensive than the others but I really like working with it. I can position it where I want and adjust the output(if that's what you'd call it).

I have a small folding table that I use, not a proper mobile nail table and itn clamps on no bother. I thought it might tople over but never has. HTH

Hi geeg

Thanks for the info:biggrin:.

The truth is I haven't got any kind of relationship with CND yet:Scared:. I'm not sure if I can just buy their products without having any training with them. I was going to give them a ring to get some info but just thought I run it by the geeks first to see what I needed.

Well it depends on what you are buying!

Minx can be bought without CND training as it is not a CND product. You will have to show that you at least have a manicure/pedicure certificate to purchase Minx.

You cannot buy CND professional use only enhancement products without training from CND (Brisa Gels or Liquid & Powder) you can buy anything else form CND if you have the qualifications they require from another nail company.

I was confused as your profile seems to indicate you already use CND and your post seemed to indicate you already used Minx .... that is why I asked the question as to where you were buying them.

It is pretty simple to do a conversion class with CND in Leeds. You only pay for your kit of products (which you want and need anyway) and the class is free. Why not just give them a call and find out what you need to do to become part of the CND family? 08452106060

What lamp do you use? I have the minx heat amp from sweet squared but it is pretty big to use for mobile clients, so would prefare a more portable one. xxx

Hi! I also have the minx lamp from CND for my salon, but i recentley purchased a small infrared lamp for home and mobile use and it works great, Its from a company called medisana, (google them) I paid £24 for it. It is less watt's so takes slightly longer to heat the minx but is ideal fit for my beauty box. Hope this helps! x

I don't find my lamp too bad for mobile. I fold it down and wrap the lamp part in a small towel and put it in a hold all with the other end sticki out a wee bit. I put my couch roll in here too and I have a smaller pouch that I put my tools, scrubfresh and Minx in. Works for me.

Thanks, I just find it annoying as you need to fix it to the table, means I would have to remove that all the time from my desk in the salon to do client's at home, so thinking i will invest in a infrared one xxxx
