hi i was wondering if any one could give me some advise on make up courses
iv looked at a few and they seem to range in prices .
i set out to be a make up artist but got a good job in a beauty clinic , had a baby and got stuck in a rut really ,
i know my local college do courses where i gained my nvq 3 , i dont want to be training for 2 years really.... would employers be looking at where i trained ???

what about the london school of make up?

that is an option but my local college ( barnet college) offers courses for considerably cheaper would i be better of investing more??? ... or would it really be more about individual talent as for some of the best didnt even start out with qaulifications ,

If i can be really honoust... i think a lot has to do with individual talent.
You should know the basics and your colour theorie etc... but the insight in how to enhance someone´s features needs to come from you.
I´m not saying that you should take a cheap course at all but i have done these expensive courses and didn´t thought that they were enlightening at all. I actually didn´t learn much at all but did got a lot of work for tv and magazines trough the schools recommendations. That was in the end the only possitive aspect of attending this school.
Like you said...many of the best make-up artists out there are self thought.
