Hi all
Wanted some help from a professional, Im struggling at the mo to get out of my make up rut. I want to try out different colours but am unsure of which go together/compliment each other.
For example I am using a black glitter eyeliner rubbed in all over the bottom lid ( closest to the lashes) then using a silver over the top smudged in, looks nice but now heres the thing, at the top of your lid above the crease I want to use another colour before highlighting just under the brow. I have used a pink and that looks ok. Please help with some colour combos so I dont waste loads of money on diff eyeshadows as I buy expensive brands.
I am looking for more dramatic night time looks and sometimes i have a play and it ends up looking like just 1 colour all over the eye! Thanks in advance x

I think its difficult to suggest things without knowing your own colouring etc but have you thought of going along to the Mac counter/shop they have loads of colours and will give you a demo to get the look you want ,Ive done this a couple of times and theyve been really helpful
hth:hug:

Yes I have been before to make up counters and find them helpful but as I already have a substantial amount of make up I was just asking for colour combos from those in the know!! I have dark eyes and have been told I can wear most colours I just dont know what colours go with what if it makes sense!!

Would it be possible to post a pic of yourself with your above colours on and then we can take it from there. It helps to look at skin tone, Face and eyes shape etc......

Just because you have blue eyes, does not mean you can't wear green shadows. I have green eyes which really stand out when I wear blue shadows.

There are no hard and fast rules with make-up. It is versatile! Sometimes you have to play a little with colours to get the look you want. Go for it!

Hi ya
Try a matt plum colour over mobile lid blend into crease and smoke out with a darker grey on outher third of eye and blend under eye to create a smokey look fab for blue eyes. Highlight brow with a nutral colour, just make sure you blend otherwise can look harsh, but good for an evening look. Use a softer/paler lipstick/gloss to also sofen look and draw attention to your eyes.

Have you tried looking at the tutorials on youtube for makeup. It make it so much easier to see how to apply makeup to make the most of your looks and what colour combos work too.

There are some fantastically talented makeup artists on there.

Without seeing your face it is difficult to see what would work for you.
