Hi everyone,
I have quite a lot of photographers interested in using my make up skills for their shoots, but i am unsure what to charge, i am based in the midlands not London so have to be realistic with what i say.

For bridal work i charge £30 for a trial and £40 on the day. I use decent make up like MAC, Smashbox etc. So should i charge the same as i would for a weddind trial for someone when they are having photos done?
Many thanks

I don't really know all that much about this but imo i would say it depends what they want the photographs for if it is just a one off picture for a client like a makeover shot then yes maybe just charge the same as you would charge for a wedding eg £40, but if they are publicity shots that would be going on to advertising i would charge more and stipulate that your name gets put somewhere so you get advertising. Obviously if it is for makeover shots and it could be something that offers you regular income then maybe you could come to some kind of aggreement for discount for so many bookings etc. Not sure if this helps any just my thoughts!!

Thank you for the reply,
I think alot of it is makeovers with the odd glamour type model coming up occasionally.

Just wondered if and MUA's charge for the time spent i.e each hour.

Thanks anyway for advice
