I just finished Nail School and believe it or not yesterday I was just informed that the products the school uses contains MMA I found this out the hard way. For a couple of months now my hands have been itching and has been broken out in a rash. When I showed it to the owner/instructor She pretty much shrugged it off and said I needed to wear gloves when applying the acyrlic ( i also have their product on my nails). Much to my suprise yesterday another instructor there asked me why I had a glove on I told her what I was told so she looked at my hands and said I needed to Immeditaly soak off because I was having a reaction to the MMA that is in the products the school uses. Well, with all that said today was my last day and I was asked to do a full set on a lady and I used gloves BUT am once again having a reaction. Wearing gloves doesn't work. Any suggestion on what I should do for my hands?

Over exposure to monomer over a period of time can cause a reaction MMA or no MMA.
Your tutors sound like they need to go to 'nail school' themselves!
I would find out for sure if there is actually MMA in the products...you can ask them for material data safety sheets for the products as they should have these...this will list the ingredients, I would also of questioned the person that said you were having a reaction to MMA as to why they were using MMA containing products, etc. Gather your information and then put in a complaint and perhaps seek further training from a reputable company that will for one thing teach you about avoiding over exposure.
