Am I right in thinking that to offer manicures and pedicures you need to be trained in it, or is a friend of mine right in saying that if you have a nail qualification-in this instance nail enhancements, then you can offer manicures and pedicures without having to gain extra training?

Thanks

hi hun,

I am not 100% sure so dont quote me on it but i am pretty sure you would need seperate training. i have a manicure and pedicure certificate seperate to my nail enhancements. i did the mani and pedi first then went on to enhancements. On my nail enhancements course they didnt teach us any massage techiniques so without my mani and pedi training i would be lost when performing one!

well i have a qualification in nail extensions but not in manicure/pedicure im training in that at the minute seperatly , i know that with my insurance once i have completed it and recieved my certificate i will need to fax them over that to prove i have qualified in it .... even if that wasnt the case i would still want to be trained in it anyway to know that what im offering is upto scratch :) ....

Yea, I did a seperate course, and insurance wanted a copy of cert to be sent to them as well, hth x
