Manicure Questions

Hi all,

Im taking a part time course doing Manicure and Pedicure, I just have a few questions.

1. If a client has yellow nails/fingers due to fake tan, smoking etc is there anything we can do to get rid of the yellowing?

2. If a client wears false nails all the time and has nail glue build up on her nails how can we remove this?

3. If client is a nail bitter and has bitten skin around the nail how can we tidy this up?

Thankyou for your help its such a shame taking a part time course because sometimes I have so many questions, so be prepeared for me to keep asking :lol: x x x

Hi Chick... you should get yourself a good book for studying.. a great one is Elaine Almond's Manicure,Pedicure and advaned nail techniques... this is still my bible after 7 years and I still refer to it every now and then.. as for the questions, the discolouration and nail glue build up it's just a matter of lightly buffing the nail and cuticle oil can be applied around the nail of a nail biter to sofen the skin as constant contact with saliva makes the skin sore... anyway that's what I would do.. I agree with Karen, I would get a good beauty book which will answer all your questions and you will learn a lot. what level are you doing?

Im doing Level 2 VTCT. I just really hope I pass I dont feel Im good enough to do this but I am not giving up
