Hi by the way, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a while. I'm a former medical billing, AP/AR/Accounting professional... looking to do a switch that will allow me to work from home and not be stuck looking at spread sheets all day (which I detest.) I used to do my own L&P and L&P for my friends, I have a knack for it, but hoping to swing over my business to the UV gel area as well. Eventually I will be opening a nail salon in my area, but for now, baby steps.
When I did my nails in the past and all my girlfriends, we just did it at the coffee table, kitchen table, etc. All day bending over a kitchen table will kill my back nor is it professional. So, looking at some of the manicure tables for my new business (completing my Bio-Sculpture "course" in Oct - got a Nail Trainer and hope to get skilled enough to take paying clients at the beginning of the year.)
Enter... the Manicure Table search. The not only do they not match my living room, they are just plain gaudy. While they might be fine for a nail salon, they are not fine for my home. I was actually thinking of just using a regular desk - open base no bars/legs to get in the way. A Manicure table is much more narrow however, so I am unsure how working at a desk would be for my back. Another option is a NICE manicure table that doesn't look like it crawled out of the 80's, but I can't seem to find that.
Any thoughts? How does a desk work? If that is a no go... any good manicure table stores online that will ship to Canada? Thanks in advance!
