Hi Guys,

I need to up the temp of my incoming clients.

Can you guys give me some ideas for cheap as chips effective marketing please.

Much appreciated.:)

Check out www.beautyzone.co.uk its a bit like facebook for salons and you get your profile and web presence for no pennies at all!!:green:

If you want marketing support they charge you a fee, am pretty sure it was around a tenner a month or £90 for the year (am sure it tells you on the site) but you get marketing tips, and material packs etc to get things under way!!

Caters for the
"totally and utterly skint and no marketing budget at all"market, and the "totally skint with a minimal marketing budget":green:

have you got yourself a website?

Yes have a website, its very basic as time has been limited but all necessary info is on there.

as long as its got the important information; name number services and possibly prices its all good

try adding your site to the following free listings, it does get repetitive but once its done its done!

www.uksmallbusinessdirectory.co.uk
www.yell.com
www.gumtree.co.uk
www.vivastreet.co.uk
www.thomsonlocal.com
www.upmystreet.com
www.beautyfinder.co.uk

theres loads of places out there and the more links you got, the more popular your site will become.

May also worth be signing up to facebook pages and myspace; no better way to target local people and specific age ranges!

good luck!!!:green:

Is there a business park near you? If so, do a leaflet drop (I got 2 new clients immediately from it!)
Join business networking groups: Ladies who Latte, Athena Network etc
Join your local WI - lots of ladies with time and money
Offer gift vouchers to local hospices, golf clubs, private schools
Never, ever go out without business cards/brochures.
