Been asked today about massage and gel polish.
Lady is a massage therapist and when she trained years ago they were told not to wear nail polish.
She wondered if it has changed now or if gel polish is ok to wear for giving massage as it doesn't come off as easily as regular polish.
She wants to start having her nails done regularly.
Do any of you know?
Thanks :)

I also offer massage yet always wear Shellac and it isn't an issue :)

even manicurists when I trained were told to have clean short nails! I also offer massage among other treatments and I would say that as long as they are short there's no problem.

I have a couple of clients who are massage therapists, they wear Shellac no problem just keep their nails short obviously

When I trained you couldn't wear anything on your nails for massage etc, during training and for exams. I think it was considered best practice so you could see that there was no debris under the nails, sharp bits etc. As a qualified therapist I have short nails but often with a gel polish.
