Lol i use socks, just cut the toes off and roll them up! I use one sock.for a small bun and add 2/3 together for a larger bun xx

i bought a very large one from the patrick cameron stand at salon international last month
but before i have done this by filling a pair of tights with stuffing like what youd get in a pillow and then tying each end and sewing into a circle to make your own as big or small as you like (you can use childs tights if you want it wide but not tall)
ive also done it by backcombing in a circle around the ponytail towards the face and then just gripping it in but its difficult to get the same height the whole way round
when i get home ill try and upload a photo of when i did it for my daughter at a dance competition
