Maxi Mist TNT gun problems

Hi there I'm new to tanning have done around my sixth spray tan tonight but had a bit of trouble with my gun. Even though I'd tightened the holder as tight as I could it seemed to be leaking through. Like I said I'm new to all this so unsure what would cause it. It made me doubt myself don't want it happening again. Any advise would be great. Also what's the best way to get the right flow of tan as I seem to be fiddling with the dial on every tan thanks sorry if I sound really inexperienced. I am perfectly fine at the tanning technique but the gun is holding me back.
