Do i need a minx infra lamp to be able to apply the minx nails...... :irked:

You don't need to have just the Minx lamp, however you really do need some type of infrared heat source (preferably at least 150w) for best results. Other heat sources can work (i.e. hair dryers) however they won't give as long lasting results.

HTHs :)

How about a uv gel lamp?

Foe Minx you need an infra-red lamp for heat, a uv gel lamp gives off uv light for curing gel - completely different.

:smack: Should have known that hence why its called infra-red lamp and not Uv

:irked:Is their an actual course which you can go on and get an intro pack??

Not currently, but its something we are looking into :)

I was actually wondering something yesterday regarding this....

Those who have already purchased the kit of minx and already provide this as a service, and then you introduce training for minx does that mean the people who used minx without training would then go and have to have training as they wouldnt be qualified to do minxing?

OK I've had a thought..... I've seen a thread lately re L&P overlay on Minx I think..... would a Gel overlay work too? Would it prolong the life on say "Minx fingers"?

Thanks!

Nope :)

On of the strengths of Minx is that it is a very easy product for professionals to apply. Saying that, there are some cool things you can do with Minx that we would most likely only be able to demonstrate (i.e. in a class). So although I can't predict the future, I would see a Minx class as being one that would enable users to get more out of Minx, but not necessarily be a requirement in order to use it.

Overlaying Minx with gel? I am not sure if its doable as I haven't tried to overlay Minx with anything. My initial thought would be 'no' though simply because Gel generally needs a 180 grit surface, a bonder layer and/or an inhibition layer to adhere to.

HTHs!

Hhmmmm... didn't necessarily think that one through very well, did I?!!

Maybe I dreamt the whole L&P overlay thing too as I can't find the thread...... that's what the clocks going forward has done to me......
