I have a client who wants acylic over minx on her natural nails, just wondering would the acrylic adhere to the minx ok? Would you put a thin layer of acrylic under the minx aswell or just over the top? Just wanted to be sure the acrlylic would stick to the minx. Thanks XX

Hiya hun, Is there s reason why she wants acrylic over her minx? Also are you charging for a NNO aswell as minx application, as these are two seperate services? In answer to your question I have only ever applied acrylic overlay over minx on the tip (zone 1) this has lasted well, although I would think you might get lifting if applied to the whole nail, and might not last long. Why not just have a go and see what happens, whats the worse that can happen ??? xxx HTH

Sorry just re-read your post, Why would you apply acrylic underneath?? Are you aware of how to apply minx? Also are we talking toes of fingers??

In my opinion you would not need to apply acrylic over toes as if applied correctly can last weeks and weeks, (mine can last for 8weeks) Fingers are diffrent story I advise them for spec occasions, and say they can last from 2 days to 2 weeks depending on the person, and how they look after them etc. xx

Yes I am aware of how to apply minx and my minx last on toes for up to 8 weeks also, but this would be charged as nno and minx on fingers, the lady has quite weak nails and wanted to add a bit of strength to her nail and make the minx last a bit longer on her nails as she is going away for a wedding and is quite rough with her hands, so I was thinking of encasing the minx iykwim. just asking if anyone has tried it and had a good or bad result.

I tried it on my cousin on her finger nails, I cut the Minx into a French tip shape and applied it on her natural nails then applied a thin layer of acrylic and finished them with & Glaze `n` Go, they turned out pretty good and lasted her 3 weeks before they needed attention but that was for the growth area. I have a picture posted in the Minx Group you can look at its the Pink Cheetah Fingers & toes. HTH.

Thanks hun I am going to do a trial on my sister with the acrylic and see how it goes. Xx
