Hiya, I have not long agon returned from Mat Leave and am a Nail Tech trained in Biosculpture and Acrylics, I have seen lots advertised for the new Minx nails, is there a demand for these out these and how much is the kit and training??

I only work p/t since having my little boy and love the look of minx but not sure if I would have a demand for it as I never have requests for nail art any more its all French or Solid colours.

I think some of these questions (such as price & training) are better addressed to the helpful customer service department at S2 (Sweet Squared) the supplier of Minx in the UK. 08452106060.

One doesn't always have a demand .. it is our job to create a demand. The demand is there as Minx is VERY visible to many as itis highly publicised for you in magazines by the celebrities who wear it. look at www.minxnails.com and see just how many there are.

Most clients do not request nail art as they find it too expensive or frankly not done very well by the technician ... that is where we all win with Minx as it is instant, affordable and long lasting, perfect nail art which can be applied in about 20 minutes.

I agree with Gigi in the respect that we create the demand.

This year saw me delve into the wonderful world of nail art. I had always disliked it until the rush of new products, glitters, coloured acylics etc and I saw the work of some of the greats. I bought a few bits and got hooked. Now, I thought that I would be able to play and that I maybe had one or two clients who would be adventurous enough to have a go. How wrong I was! All my clients who had nail colour have transferred and even some of the die hard Frenchies have shifted. This has increased my income and has given me a creative lift.

It is just a matter of people seeing what you can achieve. I have not, as yet, tried Minx and have not seen it here in Gloucester, although we are not known to be at the cutting edge here! Having said that Minx would probably be your easiest way into the wonderful world of colour and bling! :)
