I was just wondering if this would work, mixing a coloured enamel with clear gel to get the colour you want, not sure if its possible, do you think it will work or is it a bad idea lol :)

it is a bad idea but it works

It can work....but its very much trial and error. Depends on the enamel and the gel. It does however weaken the gel and I certainly wouldn't use it on a client. I don't think you'd be covered by insurance for it.

Can't see why you'd want to risk it really with the range of coloured gel on the market now.

Tried it. Did it for my wedding and a couple of clients. It is trial and error to get the right mix. When I get it right, works great and I didn't see any difference in strength.

Why did I do it instead of using coloured gels?
More variety, got EXACTLY what I wanted and more cost effective.
I have coloured gels that nobody wants because they don't like the colour.
I'd rather waste a couple of dollars on unwanted polish as opposed to 20 or more on unwanted gel.
Couldn't find the colour I wanted in coloured gels either.
