Mobile hair and make up for a wedding

Hi All,

My sister is getting married in April next year and has given me the task of finding someone who can come to our house and do hair and make up for her, me and my other sister and my mum. Have had a look on some websites and the prices are crazy. does anyone know what the going rate is for mobile hair and make up, or knows of anyone I can contact? Ideally would like to know if people to do a package (ie total cost) for all of us rather than individual price.

Any help would be great. Going crazy at the mo tryig to find someone!

you will find most people who do hair and make up and come out to you on the day will charge alot of money as they have to come out to you as they have to cover their travelling time and expenses (not to mention the things you dont think of such as business car insurance). Have you thought of going to a hairdressers rather than have someone come out to you? and same with a make up artist as well.

I used to do all the wedding make ups at Matfen Hall and did cosmetic make up, fashion and photographic make up and theatrical and media make up as well as working on various make up counters such as benefit and estee lauder.

I live in Newcastle so it's a shame cause i would have done the make ups for you. Have a look at my website if your wanting to get another idea for prices

I'm in Glasgow and I had my old hair dresser come to me on the day to do hair and make up. It is not cheap and will definitely cost more than going to a salon. As said they have travel and other costs. Also travel time is time away from their salon. Depending on how far that is there and back, they possibly could have done 2 cuts in that time.

You are also paying for the benefit of not rushing from house/hotel to salon, back to house/hotel to get dressed and do finishing touches. I was very relaxed the morning of my wedding and don't think I would have been if I went to the salon.
