Mobile hood dryers

i'm new on here found it yesterday an its fab :lol:, anyway thought i'd pick some of your brains, i've done hair an beauty in college nvq level 2 in hair but i didnt finish the beauty one cos i got a phobia of feet lol ..i gave up hairdressing after working for a year in a salon but a few friends and family have been asking me to do their hair so i'm thinking about going mobile? do you think i should do a refressher course or is there anything out there or anyone that does 1 2 1 tution just to go over a few basic cuts ?
also i'm doing a set for some of my nan's friends but i dont have a hood dryer if i'm gonna do this regular would you suggest i buy a hood dryer or has anyone tried those ones that attach to your hairdrier...i'm a bit worried that my dryer might get hot an blow up as their old dears i don wanna frighten them :hug:

I used a hood dryer when mobile, but my friend always uses one that attaches to the hairdryer. I was always a bit scared of them but shes never had a problem :hug:

I have a babyliss table one, its good and i find every client i do a set on always has a table of some sort to sit it on luckily lol. very compact and space saving.

thanks for the advice i'm thinking of investing in a table top one, roughly how long do you leave them under for? in the salon where i worked we leave 30 mins so we can get in a cut or bow dry while waiting but obviosuly being mobile this isn't possible, an i know all areas are different but how much should i charge for an oap set ?

i have a hood that attaches to my dryer and it is fine and packs away to almost nothing!
also i charge £10 for sets as it is time consuming, but £8 if it a regular weekly thing!

Hi, I have a vidal sassoon 1 from argos that has its own motor. it has 2 heat settings/speeds and cost about £25.
