sorree me again, im getting so confused with this topic have spent hours trying to come up with right solution for my client an future clients.

i was taught when extending a nail biters nail to use a cov pink and place first bead on nat nail and pull slightly over free edge, fill in cuticle area and there you have it illusion of natural nail.

if i wanted to create a pink and white look would i do this and then place form under ex nail and create smile line?

or would you use clear, then just paint a pink and white?

i know i have alread put a thread on here its just im getting so confused i just want to know the options i have to put to this client of mine and future clients also, there seems to be a lot of options for this?

When you do a custom blend (or opaque) you would 'float' your zone1 (smile line) wherever it looks most flattering, then do zones 2 and 3 in the opaque powder. You can do this either by applying a tip or sculpting.
You can also do a reverse method which involves you applying zones 2 and 3 first then applying the white afterwards.

Which do you prefer doing?

hi ya, thanks for that advice. the thing is with this client she only wants the free edge to be minimal. i thought maybe just extend without a form ? just to give the illusion of a non bitten nail? what do you think? xx

If her nails are really badly bitten then IMO it would be easier for you to use tips, saddling them to fit comfortably over the bulbous skin at the end of her finger. You can still keep the finished enhancements short :green:
