So I am due to start training in September at my local college. I got some stuff ( am sorry but it was eBay :( ) and decided to have a try - I did do 4 different types on my Creative training hand first but didn't feel right so decided to take the plunge on my own nails.

I am normally left handed and read to do your wrong hand first so have done so.

I used a glitter L&P for the tip and a pink for the nail plate.

Thanks in advance geeks xxxx

Tbh they are beautiful but I cannot advise you to practise before your training. There is more to 'doing nails' than applying product. You need to know you're working safely or you can put your health at risk - e.g. if you cause an over-exposure reaction on yourself you will never be able to wear enhancements again.

You obviously have talent, so please wait for your training and then see what you can produce. I hope you understand my point of view .

Thanks hun :) I know I can't really ask for any advice or stuff on them while I am untrained. I have read a lot about chemical reactions and over-exposure and such and have been careful to avoid getting the product on my skin either by way ot the brush, towel or while applying the product. I also have a little extractor and a well ventilated area to practice in to avoid my inhaling the product or dust from filing.

Can't wait to get my teeth into training officially so that I cna share pics properly and get critique on them and stuff :D

Well, coming from myself, who is not an expert at nails by any means, I think they look very good, especially for a first attempt. But I'd second what Vetty said not to get too over-enthusiastic, and that you'd be better off waiting until you start your course before getting carried away...

They look quite nice but the bullet proof test... Will they last? I'm gessing without proper education you probably messed up the prep and they'll start lifting... Hopefully not but this is one of the most important thing you'll cover on your course

I have prepped the nails following "The nail encyclopedia" and the routine they use so I am hoping that will not lift off in a day lol

Shall leave off the stuff now till I can train with a company - thanks for the comments folks x
