Well after a break from nails I have decided to enter the comp at excel to give my self a big kick up the back side as I would like to focus on my skill and improvement but the future is not looking too bright as my model for the day pulled out on me last night. This was my practice on my thumb 2 days ago. They are sculpted L+P with Ezflow HD, I finished this with top coat as I didn't have a buffer at the time.

Any pointers will be nice as I cant afford any comp training at the mo. I can see room for improvement but would like all your comments please.

I have 2 friends coming over to practice on tomorrow so I will post a complete set tomorrow and hopefully better looking nails with your help.

I am searching for a model on Sunday so if any geek reads this and feels sorry for me I would appreciate it a hand (Literally).

Thanks for looking:)

I cant figure out how to add the ratings table. HELP PLS?? MOD??

first of all well done,
secondly as these are comp nails i think they are a bit too thick, you can clearly see on the side pic, a missing piece or an edge that needs refining

the cuticle area need refining more aswell i think

they also seem to be very tapered, not sure if you need a parrallel side wall square either for comp?

im not a comp person, so maybe others will be able to give advice on the requirements,

these are just my observations that ive seen against other comp nails

the smile is great, but there seems to be too much product overall
the c curve is lovely too

hope you dont feel im being nasty or anything,
as overall if these werent a comp nail then you have done a lovely lovely job( maybe a bit long for a salon nail)

well done again ,.i love pics xxxx:hug:

The smile line is definitely a competition smile line, it just needs to be a little more defined/crisper.

As said before the whole thing needs to be thinner and reducing through your grits will eliminate those scratches, otherwise, a great effort and can't wait to meet you at excel!!!

Where are you staying ?

Lou xx
