Hi Geeks

I have just ventured into the nail art (paint, gems, inlays) etc

I didnt think id enjoy it but i actually quite like it.

I purchased some cheapo striper paints they are rubbish but good for practice but my question is:

Do you use small pots of water based/acrylic paints or the tubes??

I would like some small pots to work from but am not too sure where to purchase or what to use.

Any info would be gratefully recieved xx

I use small pots and a small plastic palette for mixing. Ka-sa-ra specialise. Not sure of the addy but it it'll come up if you type it in the task bar. They have opalescant acrylic paints too in various colour sheens, I love these They aren't expensive and add a lovely dimension to nail art. In addition, the Ka-sa-ra nail art book is excellent. I got mine from ebay for £5 and it gives step by step instructions on the various techniques.

tbh i have ONE client that wants nail art...and the odd few that may have sparkly glitter tips at chrimbo.

I may have a totally different clientel from you but my advice would be....dont throw too much money at the nail art stuff!

enjoy playing though:green::hug:

Thats why I bought the cheapos, just in case. Ive had quite a few clients wanting a bit or nail art on fingers & toes....

I dont really want to get into the hours & hours of tedious art lol

Im enjoying playing and am quite pleased with the results.

Wouldnt spend alot but need some decent paint, just ordered a couple of brushes...

Thanks Alibarr ill take a look

Hi

Craft Paint is really good and quite cheap i brought some from artymiss.com for 0.49p and they are fab artymiss is a craft shop and you can find lots of different bits and pieces. My advice is not to by to many things in nail shops as they are quite expensive, try craft shops they have much more variety at a good price. In saying this my customers like huge designs with 3d, but have a look anyway

Hope my advice helps

Bianca
