My daughter is taking an nail course throu NSI this weekend, this is her second class and we are to show up to learn fills, cracks problem areas etc. I am her model. Problem is there is nothing wrong with my nails. growth very small only 2 weeks. so what are they going to do with them still fill and file down??? What are we to except. Silly question I know. I feel we are going to soon I quess. But this girl only takes 4 at a time and goes to other towns to teach plus runs her own business. And hands down is very good at what she does. She taught my daughter very well. Just not sure what they are going to do with me.

Sounds like your daughter has done extremely well if these are her first set! My first set looked a mess after a few hours never mind 2 weeks! lol

2 - 3 weeks is the recommended time for infills/rebalances...your nails will need to be blended down and 'refilled' with product in the growth area...your smile line may need to be replaced and the apex of the nail will need moving back....the purpose of a rebalance is to fix any problems such as cracking and chipping and to put the structure of the nail back into the correct place as it will have all moved forward as your nails grow...if these things arent done the structure and strength of the nail will be compromised.

This is the usual time for infills and as the previous post suggests, you daughter has done a brilliant job if your nails are still looking good! She will still learn a lot this weekend so go along and be proud when she is praised for doing such a good job in the first place! :)

Thanks guys. She has actully placed with gel nails before the course sense summer on friends to make sure she liked it. Lots of $$ if you don't. But after a weekend I was amazed on what she learnt little things to major. Well worth the money.
