hi all,
have a regular client about two years.the past six months she has problems with nails staying on.She told me on last appt that she has been taking skin supplements, would this be the reason? had no other problems before this and she does all the wearing gloves to wash up,oils regularly etc.
any replies greatly appreciated as do not want to lose her as she is so lovely and does take care of them.thanks in advance xx

Does your client have any thinning of the nail plate?
are you that used to her that you chatter and maybe don't do the prep as well as you usually would?
have you tried the scrubfresh sandwich method on this client?

hi , no my prep is spot on and have tried everything.I usually take an hour and a half but i have been step by step going through everything and taking over two hours to be meticulous.I have been going through everything with her and the only thing i could think it could be was the skin supplements.I did read on here that one lady had started taking skin, hair and nail supplements and she stopped and the problem stopped.
We agreed for her to stop taking them to see if this makes a difference but i did say i would be posting to ask other professionals their advice and if anyone else knew.thanks for your reply .xx

I have a client with thyroid problems and she is taking thyroxin. She has reported some of her nails coming off and I have seen her nails beneath, there is no evidence of forcible removal.

I've been doing "super prep" on her and it seems to be working (scrubfresh, nailfresh, scrubfresh, primer).

If you are sure your prep is still as thorough, perhaps add some extras to it to help the bonding and adhesion???

hi,i have had this problem with one of my clients,i tried everything inc sandwich method, taking extra time and booking her in for infills after only a week but the nails kept popping off in the end we decided it best to just manicure her own nails as i could not eliminate the problem.I was even starting to question myself and my technique.I feel better knowing its not just me that has had this problem x
