Nail techs and beauty therapists in Spain

Does anyone know where I can get info regarding regulation of nail techs and beauty therapists operating in Spain. There are so many people who turn up here and invent themselves as nail techs or beauty therapists but have no qualifications or insurance. They are also running nail courses with home-computer-made certs when they have no teaching or nail certs themselves and use most of the well known brands (CND, The Edge, NSI) - does anyone know of any professional bodies that govern out here ?

As I've heard there is no regulation and unlicensed nail techs are a big problem.

However, I know someone there who is trying to do something to educate the public. I'll send you a pm so you can email her and ask your question.

Yes there are, however, they will soon be "outed" as people won't go back to someone whose services don't reach the marker!

I don't know of any professional bodies, what I do know is that Creative and EzFlow have recognised courses in the Valencia city area.

Hi there..Just seen your post and am sure that there is as yet no governing body here in Spain for Nail technicians.ITEC and Cibtac do approve schools here tho for their level 2 Mani/Pedi and level 3 nail Technology courses.Other than that there are distributors and educators for them offering courses with Cerification ie NSI,LeChat, EZFlow CND and Bio Sculpture to name a few.I have been trained for over 20 yrs in this industry and had to do 350 hrs in the USA to be able to even touch a finger! so know how you must feel when you see his happening.Rest assured though that like both the USA and the UK the rest of Europe will soon hopefully recognise the need for regulation.
