Hiya,

I'm new to the board, i've been doing nails for just under 12 months. I currently use NSI attraction p&w and also NSI gel, for some reason tho if i'm using tips the NSI resin doesn't seem to to stay very long if you know what i mean. I did my own nail's last week and decided to use my NSI tips with the gel for a natural look, two days later the tips flirted off, I did all the prep exeactly as i've been taught and exactly how my NSI package tells me to.

Is there another kind of resin that will last longer? I dont fancy any clients nail's flirting off.

Thanks:rolleyes:

The strength in your enhancements comes from the product overlay and not the tip. If you are finding that you are losing tips then it may be your apex is not built up enough.

i totally agree with fiona.
tips are there for length not strength .
if they are breaking off it is almost definately down to not building you apex strongly enough.

i think its always harder with gel as it has to be done in a more gradual way than l/p acrylic. and also its more difficult to see with gel how much you have on .

i'm sure things will improve if you get that apex right:green:

The thing that makes me think it's the resin and not the amount of gel is the fact i can see the tips begining to lift before they pop off, plus the whole tip comes off leaving just the gel in zones 2 and 3 behind which i then have to file off. I've tried different amounts of resin but obviously to much then runs under the tip and onto skin, i'm just glad its my nail's and not client

because there is not enough gel in the stress area, its not strong enough to hold the tip in place. if there is any impact at all on the tip, it will travel up the nail and lift the tip.

if there is enough strength in the overlay it will absorb the impact and leave the tip intact.

i think the danger with gel is to treat it like a nail polish and simply paint it on . whatever product you use , the structure is crucial to the strength.

Cheers. i'll give it another go might use l&p on them instead of gel and see how i go

Yaym i managed to get the tips to stay using L&P, gonna put pics up

thanks guys xxx
