Hi all, ive been on here a while, but havent really asked anything yet!!!
im part way through my nvq 3 and loving it! but unfortunately at the college i attend artificial nails is not a subject that they cover on level 2 or 3!
last june i attended a day course at the carlton institute, mainly to give myself a bit of an introduction into gel and acrylic, rather than hoping to be able to set up with this qualification/certificate! Thought it may help me get a job in a salon where they would consider training me properly (not that the training wasnt good, but not sufficient for myself) alas, this is seeming unlikely, and im really hoping for some advice on where to go from here.
i just missed a 15 week college course that started in january, which is just 1 night a week, which although i am a single mum, with a great lack of childcare options, would of been do-able (ish)
i really cant afford to go on a £500 nsi course, although i have been practising my nails, i doubt id qualify to do the conversion course. and im impatient and dont really want to wait for september to go on the college course i just missed, mainly because i qualify for my level 3 in june and was hoping to find work!!
i know this is a bit of a toughy, but has anyone got any ideas or advice on what i should do??
thank you for reading and sorry for waffling on!! haha
