Who would have thought it? OPI have news that doesn't include a collaboration with a Disney character! I jest...this is actually pretty exciting. The brand has just launched their new Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer system which boasts a rich colour, an intense shine and a lasting wear with no need for curing. Plus, you can get it off without the pesky faff of nail wraps or soaking.

It seems like this is OPI's answer to CND's VINYLUX? Well, OPI say that you can get ten days wear out of this compared to CND's seven days with VINYLUX but the proof of that is always in the wearing so I will have to see that to believe it but, Suze Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co-founder and brand ambassador is pretty (and unsurprisingly) excited about it.

"Infinite Shine was developed to meet demand for a nail lacquer with a gel-like finish that also boasts the exceptional formula, on-trend colours and iconic names for which OPI is best known. Infinite Shine shades are applied and removed like traditional lacquer, but they provide the high-shine and long-wear typically reserved for gel formulas, for shine that lasts until you take it off!”

The Infinite Shine collection will launch with thirty shades initially. The systems requires just three simple steps to achieve ten days of shiny, fab nails. First, apply Infinite Shine Primer to prevent staining and increase durability. Follow up with two thin coats of polish and finish off with Infinite Gloss Shine - a top coat that features a state-of-the-art gel polymer formula that cures in natural light. Product can be removed easily with Expert Touch Nail Lacquer Remover with no soaking required.

Until then...geek on!

Does anyone know when this will be available?

There'll probably be more info available directly from OPI at Pro Beauty in two weeks time, although it's always worth checking their website regularly for updates too.
