I have had a new client come tonight for a manicure and she has very soft nails. On her thumbs the nails had spilt about a third down, so if she was to remove it would leave an open wound and be sore.

What I'd like to know is there any kind of product I could apply that would 'glue' the nail together whilst it grows out. this lady brought some products from me to prevent this from happening it future but is there anything I could do to help in the meantime?

You should put a wrap over the whole of the nail until it grows down to a position where it will be comfortable to come off. There is no primer with a fibreglass wrap so it shouldn`t cause any problems
