Hi

I am still quite new to nails, I started training in May with CND Shellac beginners, and have since done a Minx course and due to do Shellac Art & Style in November. I am looking to do further courses with CND next year, but think I will concentrate on natural nails not enhancements.

My question is to those who also just do natural nails what do you call yourself when people ask what you do? At the moment I'm training, but feel if I say 'nail technician' people will assume I do everything nails!

Sorry if this seems a silly question just want to advertise myself correctly when the time comes without misleading people.

Thanks xx

Nail professional, then you can explain you're ' specialise' in natural nails [emoji6] not I only do natural nails!

I know! I was thinking about this as people have been asking what I'm doing, but the list isn't that long at the moment. I'd love to do something that helps nail biters (I used to be one), not sure what though. So if anyone has any ideas?! xx

Why in training?

Did you not pass your courses?? If so you are a qualified nail professional! Believe in yourself [emoji109] how do you expect your clients to if you don't?

I offer every single treatment out there so my price list is like the yellow pages.

However if you only offer a small amount of services why not stick with business cards. Have your details on the front then prices on the back.
Easy for you clients to carry around and keeps costs down [emoji3]

Well I meant because I intend to do a lot more training, but then I guess every nail professional has continual training and development, so you're right I do need a bit more confidence

Love the business card idea

Great question. I am the same. I only really do gel nail polish and manicures and pedicures but I've always called myself a nail technician. I have started to offer eye brow shaping and tinting as client keep asking for it. I love the nail professional name.
