Yesterday, I had one client in at 11am, then no one else for the rest of the day, and so because I thought "its Tuesday, it's going to be quiet" I decided to do my own nails. I applied tips to one hand, then someone popped their head round the corner asking for an immediate appointment. Lovely to have the business, but typical!! Anyway, I cleared away and set up to do the lady's nails, and thought I'd finish mine the next morning.

Anyway, I forgot about having these tips attached, I'd had some steak cooking in the slow cooker that day because I was making a pie for tea. I got home and started making the pastry. As I came to roll it out, I felt something sharp in it, and as I'd used egg white to bind the mixture I thought it was a bit of egg shell, although when I picked it out it was in fact a tip!!!! Worse still, when I looked at my hand there were no tips left!! Another 4 were missing somewhere! Fortunately I found 3 in the washing up bowl, but was worried where the fifth one might be. I kneaded the pastry out to check and it wasnt there, it wasnt in the sink, so what did I do?? I carried on, rolled the pastry out and made the pie!!!! NO one would know, surely!!!!! It probably fell of while driving home eh???

Well everyone ate the pie, no one choked on a tip (phew!), and so I have learned from this never to leave nails undone!! To be honest I knew they wouldnt be stable enough on their own but just forgot they were there!!!

Never mind:lol:
