Hi Vicky

Have you been onto business link? I see alot of other ladies on here when starting out speak to their local business link who seem to help. They might be able to tell you who is trading in your area that has the same / similar name.

I think when deciding what to call yourself so long as you dont have the same name as some one trading near you then you dont need to worry, even then I dont think its an issue legally so long as they arent a big multi national company with a registered name.

There are far more rules and regulations for LTD companies then sole traders ( ie me or you ) .

Good luck with your business

Lyndy xx

When my sister-in-law and I were chossing a name we found it really hard as we wanted a name that we could have a website for aswell. We only do nails and beauty, not hair so that made it even harder aswell!!
But we wanted the name to be one that people would remember when they drove past etc.
You'll think of a name one day and know that's the right one.
You'll get there, just keep asking everyone you know and you might get a name from a few people and put it together to make one!!

After asking everyone and anyone, it ended up being my 8 year ols son that came up with mines " Blossom " hopefully its what I help people to do!! sometimes it comes from somewhere you would never expect, welcome and good luck finding a name, if you were to do a search you would get all the threads up rlating to names, maybe read through those would help you, hth, xx ruth
