Wow how exciting!
I would say try and make your salon different to the one down the road,
That could be by;
  • having cold/ drinks on offer for your clients
  • special monthly offers
  • heated blankets on beds in treatment rooms
  • fresh flowers in salon every week
  • loyalty cards/scheme
  • sending birthday cards to clients....
  • ...with maybe 20% discount in the card
  • always be friendly and welcoming
  • always smile & give eye countact
  • always use clients name throughout treatment, booking etc
  • offering different treatments/ lastest things out.
You are probably aware or already do half them things but they are the main pointers I can think of!

All the best!

Try having a launch party, invite local businesses ,family, friends etc ,offer 10% off any future treatment booked on the night.
6 months after your launch party have another special's night and invite the same people and any new clients to promote anything new or offers etc. I thought this was a good way of thanking my new and regular clients and it makes my regular clients think they are being given special treatment!

Always carry leaflets or cards around with you just incase and try and offer something a little different to the other salons in your area

Good luck and enjoy!

Hi guys,Thank you so much for the great tips-will definitely put them to use!:green::)

Congratulations! I will open my salon in a week or two - now very busy painting and buying stuff.
I plan to sell a lot of gift certificates for christmas. What could be a better present to give?
