New to Matrix violet smoke

Got a new client today who has 12/1 and 40 vol full head and been told to try matrix. Iv got a ul-a+ and wondering what result I would get on roots which is about base 6 using 40vol ??

You do not use 40vol with the + range use 30vol

I'd personally go ul-Aa with a bit of ul-v
