Hi all - this is my first post on Salon Geek so be nice teehee :)

I'm basically a holistic therapist who is now getting into beauty treatments. I've just done my mani/pedi course and am looking to start doing them in the salon in a couple of weeks.

NOW!...I've decided to use CND polishes as they have the best reviews on here. I have an ellisons 2008/2009 book which sells the polishes but i just dont know where to start picking colours!!!!

SOOO!...
Please can you recommend how many you think i need to start off with?
And what colours? Specific names of colours would be great?
How about a white for the french tip?
And what is the best base coat / top coat??

I REALLY hope you can help as i want to start doing them in a couple of weeks but i feel a bit stuck! And not having not really had many mani/pedi's myself i dont know how many you normally get to choose from and the colour range etc.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Catherine ... what a timely post!! You may be able to get some bargains!

For all information re colours and prices and collections etc from CND, you need to go to the main distributor in the UK which is Sweet Squared .. tel: 08452106060
Web address Welcome - Sweet Squared

You also need to take a look at this: http://www.salongeek.com/groups/cnd+lovers-+colour+revolution+starts+here!!!!-228.html

CND have just relaunched all their colours with a fantastic new concept. It is called Colour & Effects and the launches took place in key parts of the UK only on Sunday and Monday.

Everything about the collection is superb from the new bottles (very classy) to the new brushes, to the much faster drying time to the coverage to the ultra smooth application ... no professional can fail to notice the difference.
There is also the added bonus that all the new colours and treatments are truely 3 FREE ... which means no formaldehyde or Formaldehyde resin, not Toluene and No DBP.

The best thing for me is not having the expense of stocking so many colours on the shelves when we all know that of all those colours ,that we keep at our expense for the convenience of clients, we use only about 25-50 regularly. I personally will love getting rid of what we call 'the dust catchers'!! lol

Thanks so much for your reply - really helpful.
I spoke with Sweet Squared and I need to send them my qualification before i can buy anything.
I live in Norwich so how do i get to buy the new range and the colour wheel?
Thank you :)
