Hey,
Just wondering if anyone else is using this gel and if you are having any problems with it?
I started using it on my own nails and a few friends and family as a trial with the sample kit i bought when it was released, end of last year. We all thought it was really good, looked lovely, nice and strong, didn't lift etc.
And so a couple of months ago i invested in the whole system and all the colours for my salon, converting from LeChat Nobility.
Since using it alot more regular on a wide variety of nail i'm getting mixed reviews. Some are loving it and seem to be having no problems and others aren't.
The main problems seem to be discolouration of the white and some colour, i think this may be due to the Shine Gel shrinking during curing and also not curing properly although i've increased my curing time to 4 mins. Clients nails are also seeming to be cracking and breaking quite alot, they don't seem to be strong enough.

Any of you having the same problems? Any Advice? Or is it just me??

I really want to carry on using the gel now as i've invested in it, and i did think it was generally a really nice gel.

4 minutes seems like a long cure. I'm sure they said 2 minutes. Sorry, can't help with anythig else.

i know, this is what my nsi rep advised when i was having problems with the shine gel.

I just used Illusion for the first time and was very disappointed with it. It's probably me and not the gel but I haven't been able to get a response from the company website or their FB page. I stirred it well, bring the bottom to the top, etc. If I apply it thin it's translucent and looks terrible and when I put it on a bit thicker it runs into the cuticle and nail folds, even after "freeze" curing it for 10 seconds. Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know what I am doing wrong. Thank you.

I have used NSI Illusion as well and was very disappointed with it. It wouldn't cover properly and would shrink away from cuticles. I rang the company thinking there may be something wrong with my products but they weren't very helpful. So I have heaps of their colours and don't want to use them. I ended up buying Mani-Q colour from Young Nails and they are wonderful. The only thing that I can say about using Illusion is to not wipe the surface after cure, or otherwise you wipe off a lot of the colour. I ended up putting 3 coats instead of 2, but not too thick and then put Glaze and Go on top as top coat. No need to wipe dispersion layer after Glaze and Go.
