NVQ 2 In Nail Services

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, I thought I may aswell sign up as I found it very useful when looking for a nail course.

I was going to do the NVQ 2 In Nail Services with The Carlton Institute but I have now been put off as I have read a lot of bad comments about it on here - which I am grateful!

Could anyone lead me in the right direction of doing the same course elsewhere? Anyone know any good courses which are ''reasonably'' priced that do basically everything (Manicure, Pedicure, Acrilyc, UV Gel, Silk, Fibreglass, Nail Art Etc Etc!!) and include an NVQ 2? I don't mind how long the course takes, I'm not rushing into anything.

It would be really appreciated if people could help me out. I live in Basildon, Essex so I am wanting a course not too far away from home. I do drive though so can get anywhere.

Hi, welcome to the site, I am sure you will find it very helpful :green:
Have you looked at your local college? I done my nvq2 nail services at my college, which covered Manicure, Pedicure, Nail Art, and Fibreglass Enhancements. This year I am doing the nvq3, which covers Acrylic, Gel, Advanced Nail Art and Airbrushing. I looked at the Carlton Institute too, but didnt like the idea of one day training and the rest at home for the next few months. Especially as I was completely new with no background experience of nails. However, after I complete my nvq3, I would like to try the Carlton for other things...like Indian Head Massage, because I have some experience now (especially with the theory side) I think this would be good.
